Murray 1695885 22-Inch 205cc 4-cycle Briggs & Stratton 800 Snow BlowerWhen I was still a teenager living at home, my dad did not own a snowblower – why would he when he had teen labor 🙂 My sister and I took turns mowing the lawn and shovelling snow which really wasn’t so bad until you got a major dump of snow. That is when you looked at your neighbours with envy – you know, the ones with snowblowers!

Doing the front sidewalk was no big deal but the driveway was loooong. I remember one particular year when there was knee-high snow which took me three hours to shovel. I was not the happiest camper out there with my shovel, mostly grumbling under my breath as I lifted one wet snow shovel scoop at a time.

I remember when I moved away – it wasn’t long before my dad bought a second-hand snowblower from the neighbor at a garage sale. When all your teen labor dries up, it is time to invest in mechanical lifesavers! Now instead of shovel marks we see tread marks.

My dad’s snowblower gets the job done – sometimes. With the upcoming snow season upon us, my sister and I decided to get him a new snowblower that would be more reliable for his birthday. While checking out different models online, we eventually decided on the Murray 1695885 22-Inch 205cc 4-cycle Briggs & Stratton 800 Snow Blower.

We did check out local dealers but found that we were able to purchase it for cheaper through Amazon with shipping plus we didn’t have to pay sales tax. With it weighing more than 100 lbw we thought that having it delivered was a good deal as neither of us have large vehicles.
